The Walking Dead: 15 Most Shocking Moments

10. Noah's Death (Season 5)

The Walking Dead Michonne
AMC

As previously mentioned in this list, Noah rapidly became one of the most likeable characters on the show. He was willing to sacrifice his freedom for Beth, and was interested in architecture - which would have been incredibly useful for his new home in Alexandria.

On a supply run with Glenn (Steven Yeun), Eugene, and Nicholas (Michael Traynor), they end up getting swarmed by walkers, and trapped in a revolving door, Glenn and Noah on one side, and Nicholas on the other. Behind them, a massive horde of walkers clawing at the glass separation.

This is an awfully tense scene, and is shot very well, giving a true idea of the claustrophobic nature of the situation.

Nicholas is understandably scared, but Glenn tries to reassure him that they can get out by breaking the glass, as Eugene distracts the walkers outside by beeping the horn of his van.

Nicholas can't take the pressure and panics, forcing his way out of the revolving door, leaving Glenn and Noah exposed to the walkers, and Noah gets grabbed and dragged in to the horde. What follows then is Noah's face pressed into the glass, right in front of Glenn, getting ripped apart while he screams. It's easily a contender for the most gruesome walker kill in the show.
