The Walking Dead 5.1 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Strangers In A Strange Land"

1. The Car Is Back (Or Is It?)

When Beth was snatched up while she and Daryl were fleeing the overrun funeral home, we saw her being driven away in a car with a cross in the back window. Speculation at the time was that the car belonged to Father Gabriel (which technically may still be the case) and he was rescuing Beth rather than kidnapping her. We now know that she€™s not with Gabriel, so who has Beth, and how come no one has asked about her at all? When Daryl comes upon Carol as she attempting to take her leave from the group, ostensibly for good, their discussion is interrupted by the passing of a car speeding by with the same cross in the back window. We assumed (as did the characters) that it's the same car, but it's been pointed out by some observant viewers that it's actually a different car with the same cross. Whether this is a detail meant to be included or just a continuity error remains to be seen. So Daryl and Carol (in their zombie-fighter apparel) set off to rescue Beth from peril. But who is driving the car, and what are their intentions with Beth? Hopefully we get at least a few answers to that mystery next week, as it€™s one of the few questions where we can€™t draw any hints from the comics. €œStrangers In A Strange Land€ was another strong episode in what looks to be a great season and we can€™t wait to see what€™s next for our group of hardened survivors and as they become the hunted. What did you think of this episode? Let us know in the comments.
