The Walking Dead 5.11 - 5 Talking Points From The Distance
5. Aaron Makes His Pitch
When he's first delivered to the barn, Aaron informs the group that he comes from a compound where there are supplies and safety, and that he'd like Rick and company to join him there. He stresses that the two most valuable resources in this post-apocalyptic world are security and people, and he can provide both, while his community can benefit from the addition of the group. It's incredibly enticing, especially considering the state the group is in, and to help make his case Aaron shows them some photos of the community. Rick is intrigued at the sight of the steel walls surrounding the encampment, but before he goes any further he rapidly approaches Aaron and puts him out with a right cross. The prospect of another place where they can try and build some semblance of normalcy has lost any fragment of reality with Rick, and he's convinced that this is a ploy to attack them.
