The Walking Dead: 5 Characters Who Overstayed Their Welcome (And 5 Gone Too Soon)

The plucky survivor who was rescued from Grady Memorial Hospital lasted just 10 episodes on The Walking Dead but in that short span, the character managed to garner the support and following of many fans.

After being freed from Grady Memorial, Noah puts his past behind him and sets his focus on building a future for everyone at Alexandria. His story arc appeared to be heading in the direction of protégé to Reg Monroe (the man who constructed the walls around Alexandria in the first place).

But we don’t get any taste of what Noah’s future plans for the safe haven could be as he’s quickly dispatched by the undead leaving a perfect passing of the torch story - similar to story arc between Maggie and Deanna - completely unexplored.

The similarities between the developing story arcs of Noah & Reg and Maggie & Deanna were most likely a factor in the demise of Noah. The Walking Dead has shown time and again their unwillingness to tell similar stories, but in hindsight it would have been interesting to see Noah’s development into a community leader continue, especially now that Maggie seems to have moved into the role of lead of the Hilltop, leaving the position vacant at Alexandria.
