How It Happened: After getting bit on a supply run - a fact he kept from his friends - Bob attempted to quietly sneak off in the middle of the night so that no one would have to suffer with him. Instead, he was grabbed by the Hunters, who proceeded to cook and eat his leg in front of him before dumping him back at the church to send a message, and was later kept from reanimating after passing away by Tyreese.

Why It Was Great: Aside from giving us the great "Tainted meat!" scene, the death of Bob was a gut punch for the group just as they had all finally been reunited and found hope in Eugene's promise of a cure.
