The Episode: Better Angels
After being abandoned by his own group, Randall found himself a captive of the group back at the farm, with the debate over what to do with him ultimately leading Dale off in frustration to his fateful nighttime stroll and bringing the conflict between Rick and Shane to a head.
As part of his scheming, Shane led the escaped Randall into the woods and broke his neck, while his discovered resurrection as a walker by Glenn and Daryl finally forced Rick to come clean with the knowledge that everyones infected.
