The Episode: Wildfire

Though viewers didn€™t get the chance to spend much time with Jim, the little slice of tragic backstory he offered in the first season about watching his family get devoured served to humanize him and color his decision near the end of the season to be left behind to turn from a bite he had received when a group of walkers attacked the camp.

43. Aiden

The Episode: Spend

Aiden€™s own recklessness late in the fifth season led to him shooting a grenade attached to a walker, causing an explosion that left Tara comatose and Aiden himself impaled.

Though Glenn attempted to rescue him with the help of Nicholas, the latter€™s cowardice and Aiden€™s admission of guilt over the loss of others due to his own negligence forced Glenn to flee as Aiden was graphically torn open by walkers.
