The Walking Dead: 6 Things "What Happened And What's Going On" Got Right (And 4 It Didn't)

1. The Obvious Foreshadowing

Well, it's obvious to the more eagle-eyed fans, anyway. Going into the second half of season five, there were a couple of character deaths that were already obvious: Tyreese and Noah's cards were marked before the premiere even began, because actors Chad Coleman and Tyler James Williams's contracts are up. They've got other TV roles lined up, so they haven't time for The Walking Dead. So teaming the two up at the start of the episode felt like the clumsiest bit of foreshadowing on Earth. No, they weren't teaming up just because they were black (thankfully), but because they're both going to die soon. And honestly, even if you didn't know the casting news, that would've been obvious. Why else would those two go off with each other? Rick and Daryl are the only members of the group Noah has had meaningful interactions with so far €“ on screen, anyway. There is no reason for him to have run off with Tyreese, but for Tyreese to cark it. And Noah will soon follow. Ah well. Goodbye Tyreese, we hardly knew ye. Next stop, Capitol Hill...
