The Walking Dead Season 5: 7 Things To Expect

7. The Alexandria Safe-Zone

This one is perhaps the least likely, but I still believe the Alexandria Safe-Zone is a good bet for the end of season five. In the comics, it was the longest-reigning place of sanctuary the gang had ever held onto. Hints about Alexandria have already been dropped, including the mysterious spoon that Beth found about the capital. It was the setting for numerous memorable moments, and a few epic battles. Indeed, Rick and crew tangled with the Saviors at this very location, and this was the place they fled to after their brutal encounters with the Hunters. Much like the prison before it, the Alexandria Safe-Zone has an almost legendary status among non-comic readers. They've heard of it, know some bad stuff happens there, and that's about it. The prison was much the same way, and it almost had its own lore attached to it before the survivors even made it there in season three. Some fans theorized that Terminus itself may have been an understudy of sorts for Alexandria, but I think after all we've seen, it clearly isn't. Whether Terminus turns out to be the Hunters or not, it's unlikely that storyline will take up an entire season. And it bodes well that the end of season five might end with the gang arriving at Alexandria and begin the push towards the Saviors and the infamous Negan.
