The Walking Dead: 8 Characters Who Should Die In Season 8

6. Tara

Having been a secondary character throughout her three-season run, Tara was given much greater prominence last season, even having an episode devoted to her discovery of the Oceanside community, which she would later revisit with Rick to commandeer weapons.

Tara had the 14th most lines of any character in season six, while only Rick, Negan and Sasha had more dialogue than her in season seven. While Tara is likeable and a visible member of the Alexandria group, she lacks the individuality that makes other supporting players such as Gabriel, Rosita and Eugene stand out. Some of her time on screen felt like wasted motion while we waited to discover the fates of the more engaging characters.

With the incorporation of new communities, The Walking Dead’s ensemble cast is now too big and is need of refinement, with the inevitable warfare a timely opportunity for that.

One of the victims should definitely be Tara, who would represent another significant loss to Rick’s alliance, and yet would not be badly missed by the audience. She could be shot down by Oceanside leader Natania as revenge for giving them up, having sworn not to.
