The Walking Dead: 8 Dumbest Moments In Rick's Last Episode

3. Sasha's Return

Over Rick's final episode he gets to reunite with some of the people who have had the biggest impact on him throughout his journey (albeit in dream form). He returns to his police cruiser to make amends with Shane and thank him for unlocking the rage that allowed him to survive for so long. He gets a final pep talk from Hershel, who effectively solidified Rick's moral centre and stopped him from tipping over the edge into Governor or Negan territory.

And then Sasha comes back.

While Rick's walking through the imagined corpses of all his friends, the one deemed worthy enough to rise up and speak to him isn't Lori, Carl, or any of the other people the Sheriff has shared a connection with throughout the show, but Sasha. Sonequa Martin-Green is an amazing actor and she does a great job here, but Sasha and Rick barely had any screen time together, and it feels odd for her to be the one highlighted in such a personal sendoff.

It's still an enjoyable scene, but it's undermined by the fact it probably should have been Carl here. Or hell, even T-Dog. Just somebody Rick actually had a relationship with.
