8. The Walkers Just Rot Away
As The Walking Dead has progressed, the walkers have become more and more disgusting as they continue to decay. They're practically falling apart at this point, so logic dictates that they'll eventually go the same way as any dead body. That could be years away (probably not decades), but there's got to be an end point where the walkers just stop... walking. The most interesting thing about Fear The Walking Dead has been seeing the contrast between the undead when they're first infected and what they've become in the main series. Assuming there's at least a year or two between the two shows, the way they're going definitely points to them eventually being too rotted away to walk. Sure, there will be new walkers added to the hoard in the meantime, but it makes sense that the number of them will eventually decrease dramatically. So, what kind of ending would this be for the hit series? Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors discovering that the undead are dying out could lead to an interesting final season which sees the group attempting to wipe out what's left of them in order to start anew. Viruses come and go, and this outbreak should really be no different, so The Walking Dead having the outbreak end as quickly as it began would be mostly very satisfying.
