3. The Biggest Midseason Premiere Yet

The Walking Dead returns on Valentine's Day, and probably won't make for fun viewing for you and your date. "We will be wooing you with the weirdest of Valentine's Day gifts: Chaos, terror, heartbreak, heroics, tragedy, and terror," says showrunner Scott Gimple before adding that this year's midseason premiere is, "one of the biggest episodes we have done. This one is gargantuan." Based on some of the smaller rumours which have been doing the rounds, he's not lying. For starters, it's been said that the Wolves will also be making their return in this episode (despite it appearing as if the last of them had been wiped out), and that they'll be bringing some of those trucks filled with walkers with them. Overkill? Perhaps, but the show is at its best when the odds are stacked against the survivors. Then there's the inevitable talk of some major characters not making it out of the premiere alive. Seeing as the finale ended with so many of them in various forms of peril, that's hardly a surprise, and it probably wouldn't hurt for the show to thin its ranks a little at this stage anyway.
