The Walking Dead: 8 Plot Twists Nobody Will See Coming In Season 8
4. No Redemption For Eugene
Fear was the path to the dark side for Eugene, but by the time season 7 comes to a close, he's Team Negan through and through, despite when he did for Sasha.
There's no sign of the mulleted brainbox conspiring against the villain - he's relishing having his foot in a door in the corridor of power, but since he was never a bad guy to begin with, many fans are expecting him to use that big brain of his to find redemption.
There's precedence for this since Eugene had fences to mend when the lies surrounding his origin came to light earlier in the show, and he's certainly of use to Rick as a man who can fashion bullets with inside intel on the Saviors.
That's exactly why it will be a shock when he becomes a tragic casualty of the all-out war. There could have been a way back for Eugene and future purpose as part of Team Rick, but watching Sasha, Abraham and Glenn die has changed the guy.
Somewhere out there, there's a bullet he didn't create that has his name on it.
