Jesus always felt underused, something actor Tom Payne clearly agreed with when he asked out of the show in its ninth season, but he never became a bad character.

Portrayed as a brilliant hand-to-hand combatant, a virtuous leader and reasonable soldier, Jesus's spent much of his tenure on the show fighting to keep his friends' heads on straight, stopping them at every turn from doing something regrettable in the fight against the Saviors.

Steadfast and brave, his was an avoidable death, and when we lost him we lost one of the show's most dependably compelling and toughest stars. Such a waste.
