The Walking Dead: Every Season 10 Episode (So Far) - Ranked Worst To Best

3. What It Always Is

The season's fifth episode held some interesting moments involving a number of characters, such as more hints about the complicated history between Magna and Yumiko, the dangerous reality of the worsening of Kelly's hearing loss, the meeting between Gamma and Aaron, and the revelation that Ezekiel is currently suffering from thyroid cancer.

All these things were peppered throughout the episode, but the real focus was on Negan, who we caught up with following his apparent escape from Alexandria. That meant the appearance of the Savior-worshiping Brandon, who tracked down Negan under the belief that he intended to reestablish his old way of life and even gave him a few gifts: His old jacket and a new Lucille.

The two also saved a mother and son, an act that led to a great scene of bonding between the latter and Negan, but the good deed was short-lived, as Brandon slaughtered them both to prove his worth to Negan, who summarily killed him in return. Ultimately, the episode served to set up something better - Negan's infiltration of the Whisperers - but it was still an entertaining ride of its own, fueled by a great performance by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
