The Walking Dead: Every Season 6 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

14. East

The Walking Dead
AMC

The penultimate episode of the season, East has too much going on to make it as engaging as it should be, attempting to tie up as many loose ends as possible whilst teasing the long-awaited introduction of Negan.

Rick and Morgan's attempts to find Carol is the most compelling aspect of the episode, allowing the pair to clash over their opposed approach to the new world. Daryl and Rosita's thirst for revenge against Dwight is also intriguing enough, but ends with a rushed cliffhanger.

Also, none of the episode's developments come together well, the pace inconsistent and the overall emotional impact of what's happening feeling decidedly hurried. It watches like one big hour of set-up to the season finale, and whilst that's not a bad thing, the emotional edge is squandered as a result of its speedy, unearned twists.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
