The Walking Dead: Every Season 7 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

14. Something They Need

The Walking Dead
AMC

The season's penultimate episode, Something They Need is all set-up and no pay-off. On one side of the story, Rick leads an expedition to recruit Oceanside to their cause; on the other, Sasha languishes in a cell at the Sanctuary.

Both of these plotlines come with heaps of exposition and remarkably few surprises, as Rick and the gang force themselves into Oceanside in the most unnecessarily destructive way, and Sasha deals with Negan's interrogation techniques.

Everyone involved seems to be going through the motions with little care, and there's a sense that the entire episode could be skipped without missing anything. This is no killer, all filler at its worst, though it does end with Dwight entering Alexandria to shake things up, which is at least marginally interesting, I guess.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
