The Walking Dead: Everything You Need To Know About The Whisperers

7. Their Home & History

The entire M.O of The Whisperers means that they need to move around a lot, with the fact they travel in herds of walkers necessitating their nomadic way of life. It's unclear exactly where they came from, but we do know their group has grown larger and larger over the course of the years, and in the comics, it numbers in the hundreds.

While they mostly roam about, they do have a base, simply known as The Whisperers' Camp, which is basically just a clearing surrounded by trees. This, too, is part of their entire ethos: they live as animals do, huddling together for warmth, rather than the need for buildings and other comforts.

Above all else, when it comes to the areas they roam, it's important to note just how territorial they are, and that crossing into their turf - even by mistake - is seen as a crime that must be punished, hence them targeting Eugene and Rosita.
