The Walking Dead: Everything You Need To Know About The Whisperers
3. Heads On Pikes
If there's one major way of announcing who the Whisperers are and that they mean business, while making for a jaw-dropping conclusion to leave things on for a few months, then the infamous heads on pikes scene is it.
This comes relatively soon after their introduction in the comics, and is basically as it sounds: Alpha and the rest of the Whisperers mount the heads of a number of survivors from the various communities on pikes, in order to send a message to Rick and co, using the pikes as a means of marking the border separating off their territory.
Among the unlucky dozen are Rosita and Ezekiel, both of whom could be in danger in the TV show too. Ezekiel, in particular, has looked like his card is marked for a while, and with both characters shown to be in relationships and happy, warning bells should be ringing. That said, the show does like to twist comics deaths - Abraham before Glenn's, Denise gets Abraham's etc - so it could feasibly be any number of bigger characters who go instead, outside of the core of Michonne, Daryl, Carol, and Judith. Will this be the season finale? Quite possibly.
