The Walking Dead Former Cast: Where Are They Now?
1. Jon Bernthal
On The Walking Dead: Bernthal played Shane in the show's first two seasons, with his descent from hero to antagonist bringing about a final showdown between himself and Rick that left him dead, though he briefly appeared to Rick in Woodbury as a hallucination in season three.
What He's Been Up To: It's hard to deny that TWD gave Bernthal a huge leap in exposure. Since leaving the series, he showed up on the big screen in Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, reunited with Darabont for Mob City and starred alongside Oscar Isaac in HBO's miniseries Show Me a Hero. Currently, you can see him with Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin and Emily Blunt in Denis Villeneuve's Sicario.
Coming up, he's starring with Richard Armitage and new Spider-Man Tom Holland in Pilgrimage, with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the crime thriller Shot Caller and with Anna Kendrick and Ben Affleck in The Accountant. However, it's hard not to be most excited to see him bring The Punisher to life in Daredevil's second season next year, a bit of casting that fans have already fallen in love with and has left many already hoping that it'll pave the way for him to carve out his own little corner of the MCU via his own series down the line.
