The Walking Dead Mid-Season 7 Premiere: 6 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Rock In The Road'
2. Daryl Being Left Behind Again
At the end of episode 8, there were a few causes for optimism, but one of the biggest was Daryl breaking free from the Sanctuary and being reunited with Rick and co.
Even ignoring his popularity, he remains one of the show's strongest weapons, with Norman Reedus a consistently reliable performer capable of bringing both physicality and emotion to the role. So when he was part of the envoy who set out to the Kingdom, it was with high hopes; the gang was back together, the boys were back in town etc etc.
And then, because the Saviours are looking for him, he has to stay at the Kingdom, once again separating him from the main group and the central plot. There's some sense in the story there, but it's a real shame to once again cut Daryl adrift, especially given he'd only just been reunited.
