The Walking Dead Season 11 Review - 3 Downs & 5 Ups From "A New Deal"

After Negan and his pregnant wife, Annie, separated to try and stop Lance from killing Daryl and Maggie, they reunited once he and Carol were able to help convince Pamela Milton to stop Lance.

During one brief scene, Negan and Annie have an ultrasound to see how their bundle of joy was doing, only to be told that there's a high amount of fluid within the womb. While nothing to be majorly worried about, the doctor lets them know that they couldn't be in a better place. Alexandria nor Hilltop don't exactly house modern equipment to help them out.

But that's not how the parents-to-be both see it. Having lost their people to Toby and the Commonwealth soldiers who followed his order to retrieve weapons they believed they had, Negan and Annie don't exactly feel comfortable living amongst the people who killed innocent people.

Despite this, however, the couple deliberately put their baby at risk, even though they know the people responsible were punished. No other community offers the same level of up-to-date technology and sustainability, and even contemplating it doesn't exactly make their decision the right one for their child. Negan and Annie just seem to be choosing their own emotions over the right thing to do for their offspring.
