1. Glenn's 'Death' Scene

There could really only be one winner when it came to the most shocking moment contest. Glenn's 'death' scene. For starters, Nicholas' death scene was shot (too soon?) beautifully, as the red puff of blood sprayed across Glenn, but then came the real trauma. We all thought Nicholas would be the bait for Glenn to escape, and while that came true in the end, Glenn was still thrown into the middle of the walkers. We watched 'his' guts being pulled out like spaghetti and comic book readers everywhere lost their minds. "THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!" was the deafening cry from living rooms around the world. It was a heart-stopping moment that would've elevated The Walking Dead back to its peak, but the writers had to go and bottle their decision by sensationally saving Glenn through a series of contentious methods. The fact that he survived took the shine off the moment, and now looks like the beginning of an underwhelming hype train. But when it played out on screen, it was a genuine shock, horror, incredible scene.
