The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Questions Raised By 'First Time Again'
9. Could They Have Fortified The Quarry?
Okay, so I've never actually survived a zombie apocalypse so my experience on the subject is hazy, but surely the quarry would've been the ideal place to fortify and hold the walkers? Hustling them along winding roads away from Alexandria was always going to be an enormous logistical nightmare, could they not have dealt with the problem at the source? Strengthening the pit would have ensured that no walkers could escape; a few extra would fall in, but none could escape. Then it's a case of slowly eliminating the threat. Even if they worked it so that the walkers were emerging one at a time, they could be killed instantly without hassle. The process could take a long, long time, but ridding the world completely of that herd could only be a good thing.
