The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Questions We’re Asking After ‘No Way Out'

3. Could They Not Have Done This In The First Place?

I briefly picked up on this point during the first half of the season, but we all saw the fireball that rocked Alexandria and ended the walkers. Surely they could've done that before while the walkers were all stuck in the quarry pit? They had to move a huge amount of cars into position to line their route, but surely they could've used all of that fuel to torch the walkers instead. The fuel from there, combined with all of the wood they could possibly require. It would've taken some effort, but surely it was a far safer idea to fortify the quarry and eliminate the walkers as opposed to moving them. The risk would've been lower AND the reward would've been greater.
