The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Things Episode 1 Got Right

5. Rick/Morgan

I've been hoping that my theory about 'Rick vs. Morgan' being a red herring came true, and so far, it appears to be that way. The pair have been reunited and going against what all of the trailers have suggested, they're fighting the same battles on the same team. Thank goodness. Rick is a great character, and Morgan has all of the ingredients to become one, so seeing them square off immediately would've been a punch in the heart. The word to describe the new Morgan is balanced. He's a man at peace with the new world, but he calmly understands the need to fight against its dangers. I'd more than happily see Morgan leap to the top of the hierarchy as Rick's right-hand man, and watching the pair work in union was a great thing. Holding Morgan in isolation was an interesting touch, but so too was Rick demonstrating his trust when he handed over baby Judith. Let's hope the writers continue to build them up together.
