7. The Plan

The planning sequence is a great one. Partners are saying their goodbyes with varying degrees of heartbreak (and permanency), and all the while there's a simmering plot developing. The slow zoom out as crude maps are sketched out feels like something big is coming. It lays out the scenario for the characters, and it lays out the situation for the fans. It's tidy and tense, bringing some order to proceedings as opposed to the feeling that they're recklessly rushing into a minefield. It's got a heist feel to it, and the scene proves that the group are experienced. They know how the world works, and they're veterans when it comes to breaking and entering.
