Cool, calculated, composed, and utterly, utterly, utterly ruthless. Carol knows that a backup team for the Saviours is on route; killing Paula and the group was just the start of their breakout form what could've been an even nastier situation. The reinforcements bundle their way into a room which has already been soaked in fuel, Carol flicks her cigarette into the mix, the room ignites, and she closes the door. Carol's broken reaction suggests the plan almost went too well. She knows she can kill anybody whenever and however she wants to, and that terrifies her. It was far more than just a grim death scene, it was handled with total ease, and that speaks volumes.
