Hands up who genuinely saw that final (literal) shot coming? Daryl Dixon is presumably clinging to his life by a thread. It's unlikely that was the end for the fan-favourite, but one thing is for certain, Dwight shows no mercy. He's a fantastic villain.

How many times have major TV or film storylines concluded with an awkwardly long pause from the villain, leading to a predictable knight in shining armour swooping in to save the day? Dwight is refreshingly trigger-happy.

First he shot down Denise without knowing anything about her. It was a pre-emptive strike, and it was a cold, cold move, even if he was aiming for another target. Now he's got Rosita, Glenn, and Michonne cornered, quite a coup, while he's just steamed right ahead and put a bullet through Daryl. He's going to be a big character in the finale, though he may just be overshadowed by another...
