The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Things Episode 3 Got Right
8. Dividing Up Character Groups
The Walking Dead has been accused in the past of becoming repetitive and 'samey'. Of course that's going to be the case when you're just watching one travelling troupe wandering through the woods without much of an idea where they're heading for. Now, everyone has an objective. 'Protect Alexandria', 'Lure the walkers away', 'Get back to Alexandria'. Dividing episodes between cast members means that every week will bring something different. Episode 3 was fantastic, but nowI'm looking forward to seeing Carol and Morgan, and once I've watched them, I'll look forward to more Rick etc. It's unclear how long the divisions will run on for, but they've been very successful so far in breaking up the story, keeping it fresh, and ensuring that only top quality material is included as opposed to dragging out endless stretches of filler.
