The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Things The Mid-Season Finale Got Right

6. Carl

Carl just graduated apocalypse college. The feat has been on the cards for a while, but pointing a loaded gun at Ron's face tipped Carl across the line from 'boy' to 'man'. Rick's boy garnered widespread criticism across the fanbase, but that was harsh considering he was only a child in the apocalypse with Lori for a mother. He had a right to be messed up. Now he's matured into a fully-fledged survivor and handling Ron's attempts to kill him with mercy was a huge move for a young man. It'll be interesting to see where Carl goes from here and how closely the show will adhere to the comics, but one thing's for certain, the days of cowardly Carl are long, long behind us.
