5. The Plan To Stay

The group DIDN'T abandon Alexandria. The task ahead looks insurmountable, but given what Deanna said to Michonne and all of the talk surrounding the plans to rebuild and regrow, you can expect the second half of Season 6 to focus on the gigantic cleaning up job. If Alexandria was truly lost for good, I think they would've scrambled away from the place without hesitation, but they know that leaving the walls permanently is effectively like writing their own death warrants. The settlement may not have a lot longer to go, but it's certainly not over yet, they just need to get to that armoury and give 'em hell.
