The Walking Dead Season 6: 14 WTF Moments From 'Last Day On Earth'

They did NOT just do that...?!

So, the sixth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead has come to a close, and what a tense, atmospheric and horrific close it was.

For years, fans of the comic book Walking Dead world have been clamouring for and salivating over the prospect of Negan stepping into the televisual Walking Dead world, and now this nefarious, no-good twisted individual has finally stepped out of the shadows and caused chaos for Rick Grimes and his crew.

Last Day on Earth was on a path of destruction from early on, with Rick and the show’s familiar faces all seemingly on a dastardly date with debauchery and destiny. After being played like puppets, the ever-grizzled Rick and Co. would soon be directed to the doorstep of Negan, and what a disturbing and demented doorstep it was.

Of course, this season finale brought that shocking ending (seriously, we have to wait until October now?!?!), but this extended episode of The Walking Dead brought along a whole load of shocking, surprising and outright random WTF moments, and here’s the very best of them.

14. Making An Example

Whilst the early moments of Last Day on Earth saw Rick and his group of survivors heading in directions that would all land at Negan’s door, we also got to see some poor sap stalked by some of Negan’s Saviors.

This poor fella was chased through woodland, through roads, and left beaten and bloody. As the head of this arm of The Saviors put it, he was to be an example. Not an example to his own people, though. No, this doomed soul was destined to be an example for something else, for someone else.

As the episode played out, it would become crystal clear that this guy was being set up as a horrific example to Rick Grimes as to just what happens when you cross paths with The Saviors.
