It's been a while since the last internet-breaking death on The Walking Dead. Beth Greene took a bullet to the head during Season 5, then Tyreese was given an entire episode to bleed out from a walker bite, before Noah was killed off prematurely in the most brutal fashion. But as a test to prove the show hasn't gone soft when it comes to handling it's leading ladies and gentlemen, a character who's been heavily involved from very early on needs to be given a shock death. Rick has plenty of mileage left, Carol is a phenomenal character capable of anything, Maggie is the last remaining Greene and hasn't fulfilled her potential yet, Daryl's death would cause days/weeks/months of mourning among the Walking Dead fanbase, and that leaves Michonne and Glenn as two of the main characters in the firing line. Based on the fact that Glenn's been around since the very beginning, his death would be staggeringly huge for the show and Rick. The impact on the group could lead to some immense storylines.
