28. Alexandria
The Walking Dead is not done with Alexandria yet, and seems to be sticking with it for a significant amount of season 6. This is in keeping with the show's general modus operandi, having them based in one location for an extended period of time, and if it lasts the whole season then it'll be moving level with the prison in terms of how long the characters have been there. One of the problems with this model is that it can get a little boring after a while - the farm in season 2, and the prison in the first half of season 4 didn't work as well as it did in season 3, without the conflict of The Governor - but there is cause for optimism with Alexandria. It feels in many ways as though they've just scratched the surface of the place, embedding the familiar characters in with the new surrounds, and though we've already seen some conflict there's surely plenty more to come. We hear Rick talking about how his group have "had to survive," and that the existing residents of Alexandria "just don't get it. They can't." Rick's plan was to takeover Alexandria, and he is now recognised as one of the new leaders, but it sounds as they he may be having some trouble bringing them round to his 'survive-at-all-costs' way of thinking.
