The Walking Dead Season 7: 5 Ups And 2 Downs From 'New Best Friends'

3. Rick Versus Winslow

Last week the show had one big, stunning walker set-piece, with Rick and Michonne driving in tandem to slice through the approaching hoard. This week's is on a much smaller scale, but is no less impressive.

Thrown from the "Up Up Up" into what Andrew Lincoln describes as the "pit of hell", he comes face-to-face with Winslow, a former friend of Jadis and co who is now a walker covered in spikes.

It's a really cool concept, just on the right side of ridiculous, and once again shows how great Greg Nicotero and his team are at this part of their jobs. The ensuing fight is one of the part entertaining parts of the season so far, with moments of real threat (this may be the closest Rick comes to actually losing his hand), more Rick and Michonne teamwork (I'm really glad to see the show developing their relationship some more now), and a whole lot of fun.
