The Walking Dead Season 7: 5 Ups And 2 Downs From 'New Best Friends'

2. A Daryl-Heavy Episode

Despite the fact he never appeared in the comics, Daryl Dixon has been the fan-favourite character for pretty much the entirety of Norman Reedus' time on the show. There are a variety of reasons, including Reedus' performance, Daryl's softer side and character relationships (in particular with brother Merle, and later Carol), and the fact he's also a crossbow-wielding badass.

Unfortunately, though, we haven't seen too much of Daryl lately. Especially not the version we know and love. He's been isolated from those closest to him, held captive and broken down, but this episode puts him at its centre and starts bringing him back round.

He's hell-bent on revenge, but not to the point that he'll sacrifice Carol (something that would never happen, hopefully), meaning he gets to have a good scrap with Richard (and hearing Reedus talk about that scene is pretty fun).

He has a couple of important scenes with Morgan, highlighting both the similarities and differences between the two, and finally gets to have a scene with Shiva (something Reedus reveals, in that interview linked to above, that he's been angling for all year). The sight of Daryl petting a damn tiger is awesome, matched by the fact he's got a new crossbow in his hands and the Saviours in his sights.
