The Walking Dead Season 7: 5 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Go Getters'

1. Maggie Becomes A Leader

The show has been slowly building towards Maggie becoming a leader for some time now. The signs were definitely there when she went to Hilltop last year, and I expected that Glenn's death would help serve to push her forward in this.

This is the episode that really begins exploring that, and it's the strongest aspect of Go Getters. The early signs are the Maggie could make an effective leader for Hilltop, and it's nice to see her role grow across this instalment - from the early clash with Gregory, to helping save the day, to punching the current Hilltop leader right in the face. She doesn't shirk away from any of this, nor from calling the shots, even despite her precarious medical condition.

At the heart of all this is Lauren Cohan's performance. One of the show's longest survivors now, she once again does some really good work here. She's able to convey the strength of the leader she's growing into, and hits all the required emotional beats as well.

Now onto what the episode didn't do so well...
