The biggest nods to future events came from Hilltop. Some references were subtle, others were obvious, but the key theme running throughout was that Maggie is going to become the next leader of the Hilltop colony.

Gregory has been losing his authority and when discussing replacements Jesus stated that he isn't a leader to take over the reins, while Maggie's journey through Alexandria, learning from Deanna, Rick and now Gregory sees her as the perfect fit.

Prepare for Maggie to take control possibly as soon as the mid-season, or at least by the end of Season 7 as she continues to fight her grief over Glenn.
