The Walking Dead Season 7 Finale: 10 Things That Should Happen

3. At Least One Major Death

As ever when a big episode of The Walking Dead approaches, there's one question dominating: Who will die?

Not just in a minor character sort of way, but which of the big guns will be on their way out, if any? It's an especially pertinent question this time around, given the perilous state of the groups and the conflict they're heading into.

Of course, there's no guarantee a major character will be killed off. The Season 8 premiere is the series' 100th episode, and truly shocking events may be saved for then, plus they've already killed off Glenn and Abraham this season, and may consider that enough.

However, if they do want to really ramp up the stakes and signal just how deadly this warfare is going to be, then a major character death would be an effective way of doing that. It may depend on your personal feelings about the character whether Sasha fits that category (I'd argue not quite, but with a few other minor deaths then probably yes), and she probably will bite the bullet (or the bat).

Then there's the question of Carol and Morgan. I've been tipping one of them to go for some time now (an either/or situation, and not out of any desire to see them leave). They've both been on journeys that's seen them give up killing and are now forced back into it, and it'd be a poignant and impactful way of capping off the season and setting up the next chapter.
