The Walking Dead often resists putting Rick and Daryl together, which is perhaps a deliberate move to leave us wanting more, but also a bit of a shame, because they work so well together.

Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus are two of the longest surviving cast members now, and they have an easy chemistry together while also being two of the show's biggest, most entertaining badasses.

All that's on display in their particular story strand this week, which sees them entering the compound and making their way to the top floor, trying to find a cache of weapons. It feels a little bit like a video game mission, and that definitely works in its favour to add some fun and suspense to the instalment, and allow us to enjoy spending time with two of the show's better characters together.
