The Walking Dead Season 8: 8 Things You Might've Missed In Episode 1
1. Michonne Hadn’t Aged
The season premiere fiddled with several different timelines including giving us a small peak into the future that was first teased with the appearance of old-man Rick in the trailer.
Is this future a reality, or is it only in Rick’s warped mind?
Judith appeared to be around six years old, an educated guess supported by IMDb listing the future version of Lori’s daughter as that age. If the time jump is indeed 4-5 years, it has not been kind on Rick. His cane and limp may be injury related, a consequence of the conflict with Negan, but his grey hair and beard made him look not far shy of 60 years old.
Michonne, on the other hand, does not seem to have aged a day. Did she find some damn good moisturising cream on a supply run? Or is it possible that she is only a figment of Rick’s imagination - that she died and Rick remembers her as she was when she passed away?
With the time jump tipped to happen as soon as the mid-season finale, if future Michonne really is only a vision then she might quickly become the biggest casualty of All Out War.
