The Walking Dead has always been at its best when our survivors are faced with questions about the post-apocalyptic world in which they live. As their only goal is to remain alive, the definitions of right and wrong have somewhat changed since the world fell apart - a fact that has made for some pretty interesting conversations among the series' mainstays in the past.

While these questions of morality were explored a little during the sixth season in regards to murdering The Saviors in their sleep, the never-ending Negan storyline - which engulfed two full seasons of the show - made it pretty hard for characters to question their actions, as they were so hellbent on taking down the Lucille-wielding villain.

However, Chokepoint sees the re-emergence of these moral dilemmas, as Carol, Ezekiel and Jerry question whether it's right to kill those that are threatening them. It's a conversation that makes for some great scenes, and the greatest thing is that it's Carol who decides against killing their foes, which is a testament to her character development given that at one point she would've been the first person to send her enemies to kingdom come.

It's not just Carol who's asking questions either, as Daryl is faced with a dilemma too, as he ponders what to do with Lydia. It's conflict like this that reminds us that, in spite of everything our heroes have been through, their humanity is still very much intact.
