The Walking Dead Season 9 Finale: 4 Ups & 2 Downs From ‘The Storm’
Downs...
2. The Conveniences In Alexandria's Lack Of Preparation
Considering our protagonists have been doing this whole end-of-the-world dance for quite some time now, you'd think they would know to prepare for future disasters. In spite of their knowledge, however, the people of The Kingdom depart for Alexandria - with next to no food - before getting caught in a blizzard. Bit convenient.
Of course, the only way to rectify the situation and get some supplies is to cross the border - the very same border set up by Alpha. What's more, said border happens to be located extremely close to the Saviours' sanctuary - which our heroes just happen to be staying at.
A lot of television series' fall victim to similar conveniences, but considering the mainstays of The Walking Dead have been surviving this long, there's simply no excuse for them to not have brought along extra supplies in case they encountered problems like this. Moreover, Michonne was accompanying the Kingdom-dwellers, so even if you could make an argument that perhaps The Kingdom's stock was in short supply, surely Michonne could've brought along extra food from Alexandria?
