The Walking Dead Season 9 Premiere: 6 Ups & 3 Downs From 'A New Beginning'
5. The New Title Sequence
The Walking Dead might've changed quite a bit throughout the years, but one thing that has more or less remained the same is its title sequence. Over the series' lengthy run, a few new shots have been inserted into the intro to ensure it corresponds with the changes made to the show, and the logo itself has quite cleverly decayed, but the grim maroon-toned credit sequence has never seen a change like this one before.
For Season 9, TWD has receives a brand new title sequence. The idea is similar in that the short clip explores some of the show's featured locations, but the execution is quite different this time around. The intro is much brighter, and - much like the show itself this year - more optimistic. The brown-green tint has been removed entirely in favour of a white palette.
The most significant change is to the logo. This time, it's covered in green foliage, which is a stark contrast to the previous rotting version. The imagery incorporated (and the title sequence as a whole) represents the show's fresh start.
