The Walking Dead Season Finale: 10 Ways It Massively Disappointed

1. "They're Going To Feel Pretty Stupid When They Find Out..."

...how lame that last line was. In the closing moments of the episode, when the group is locked in the rail car, they're relieved to see their friends for the first time in presumably weeks. Rick Grimes has no time for sentimentality though. He's a man with a line to deliver. With a focus and intent unlike anything we've seen from him in quite a while, Rick looked to his friends and said "They're going to feel pretty stupid when they find out." Abraham, feeling the same confusion as the rest of us who were certain we were about to be given the reveal of Rick's master plan to free himself and his crew, responds with "Find out what"? The music builds to a crescendo and as fans tensed up a bit in their seats, waiting for Rick to tell them that he had someone on the inside, or snuck in a grenade launcher, anything. Instead, with as much seriousness as a man should ever convey, "They're screwing with the wrong people." That's it. You're out of the moment. Obviously they're not going to drop any F-bombs on this show and I don't want or expect them to. But that line made the scene feel more like a spoof skit on The Soup than an actual scene from The Walking Dead. And it definitely wasn't the last thing we needed to hear as the show signed off for the season. Were you disappointed with the finale or did you think they nailed it?
