The Walking Dead Spin-Off Leak: 7 Things To Know About Cobalt

1. It's Legitimate...

AMC probably could have dismissed the leak as fake for now and cooled some of the hype on it, if one of their third party agents hadn't got in touch with sites running the pilot leak to offer takedown notices...
Notwithstanding this, it has come to our attention that unauthorized excerpts from the unreleased Pilot script, as well as unreleased plot elements from the Pilot, are being distributed without authorization via your website... Rainbow Media has the good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by Rainbow Media, its agent or the law. Rainbow Media diligently enforces its rights in and to the Pilot in all forms of media and rightfully takes its responsibility for the protection of the Pilot seriously.
Now, these agencies don't actually work as directly with the studios as you might think (hence the "has the good faith" line), but the fact that they're flagging up known content would seem to suggest that the leak is indeed legitimate. And it's not at all surprising that they're trying to suppress the actual details with The Walking Dead's new season just about on its way. Are you excited to see The Walking Dead's spin-off?
