The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Review - 8 Ups & 2 Downs From "What We"

9. Down: Some Narrative Convenience

The Ones Who Live
AMC

The only other issue with "What We" is, honestly, the most minor gripe imaginable, because for the most part it's an absolute scorcher.

Still, it becomes quite hilarious throughout the episode how elegantly everything flows together. When they first find shelter, Rick and Michonne talk, they're forced to fight some walkers (no more delt nonsense!), they find new shelter, they talk, they fight, and so on, so forth.

It's all very neat the way they move around, and whilst this isn't always a bad thing, it can be distracting once you notice it.

Also, the episode's final act allows Rick and Michonne to find a car that has so much fuel they'll be able to drive it all the way home! How is there fuel? What are the chances? The Walking Dead, ladies and gentlemen, ignoring science since 2010. At least it wasn't a Tuscon, I suppose.

Now, let's get to the good stuff...

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
