The X-Files: 10 Things We Learned From Mulder And Scully Meet The Were-Monster
10. The Show Has Not Forgotten Its Past
Tyler Labine made a guest cameo, returning to The X-Files to play a grown up version of the stoner kid he played way back in the original series alongside Nicole Parker, the actress who played his gal pal back in those early episodes (and who hasn't appeared in anything since 1998). Say what you will about nostalgia, but the show clearly has not forgotten its past. All grown up, the pair have evolved from smoking dung (War of the Coprophages) to huffing paint. Yikes. Aside from this cute reference to days gone by, there was also a nod to Scully's dearly departed dog Queegqueg, and to the fact that she is, per Clyde Bruckman, immortal. Also, Alex Diakun makes his 1000th X-Files appearance as a peeping tom hotel manager (Diakun actually appeared in three other X-Files episodes, all as different characters, and as the head transplant recipient in 2008's I Want To Believe). Oh, and Mulder's red speedo, but that's too shocking to think about right now.
